The standard for “Coated Slow-Release Fertilizers” has been officially approved for project initiation.

On April 30, 2024, the national and industry standard development and revision project for “Coated Slow-Release Fertilizers” was officially approved. To further refine the project implementation plan, clarify task objectives, and ensure timely completion, a kickoff meeting and workshop for drafting the standard were held on September 7 at Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. in Feicheng, Tai’an, Shandong Province.
Researcher Tian Youguo, Secretary-General of the Fertilizer Standardization Technical Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Chief Expert at the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, along with members of the project’s expert review panel—Professor Zhang Min, Researcher Zhao Bingqiang, and Researcher Wang Shenqiang—attended the meeting, together with relevant personnel from the drafting organizations, including the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, Shandong Agricultural University, and others.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy General Manager Ding Fangjun. Guo Xinsong, a core member of the standards working group, presented a detailed report on the draft standard for “Coated Slow-Release Fertilizers.” Following the presentation, the experts in attendance offered valuable guidance and recommendations, providing strong support for the further refinement of the standard.
Previously, in the field of controlled‑release fertilizers, the company had developed two industry standards: “Polymer‑Coated Urea” and “Polymer‑Sulfur‑Coated Urea.” The drafting of these agricultural industry and national standards further underscores our company’s leading position in the coated‑release fertilizer sector and will have a profound impact on expanding our product market reach and advancing our internationalization strategy.
