Deepen Cooperation for Development   Leading to a Win-Win Future and Ushering in a New Era
Ma Xuewen, Chairman of Nongda Group, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Deepening Cooperation for Development and Pioneering a New Era of Win-Win Outcomes.” In his address, Chairman Ma provided a thorough analysis from three perspectives: awareness, strategy, and execution.
First, President Ma emphasized that “the leading role of manufacturing single-champion demonstration enterprises is of great significance to the industry’s development.” Nongda Group has consistently empowered the industry’s growth. As one of the lead organizations in setting industry standards, the Group leverages four core technologies and adopts a development strategy centered on “integrating industry, academia, research, and application, with product leadership driving progress.” Backed by four national-level high‑end research platforms—including the National Enterprise Technology Center and the National Engineering Research Center—the Group has formulated 13 national‑level industry and product standards, obtained 66 invention patents, and participated in or undertaken 67 major national, provincial, and municipal research and demonstration projects. To date, it has been awarded three First-Class Provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, recognized as a Manufacturing Single-Champion Demonstration Enterprise, and received the China Patent Excellence Award, among other honors and qualifications. Throughout its journey, the Group has strengthened its talent pool, participating in initiatives such as the National Ten‑Thousand Talents Program to cultivate five professionals, train six postdoctoral researchers, and co‑train 150 master’s students. These efforts have further built a young, professional, and internationally oriented R&D team, significantly enhancing the Group’s capacity for technological innovation.
Secondly, at the strategic level, Mr. Ma stated that the company must “be customer‑centric, prioritize service above all else, and build a ‘four‑in‑one’ community of shared destiny, ensuring that the Nongda brand becomes a platform for resource sharing.” The company will adopt the “Three‑Good Model” as its service framework, guaranteeing high‑quality products, exceptional service, and sound financial solutions. The Group will deliver end‑to‑end services, including big‑data analytics and multi‑dimensional marketing and promotion, steadfastly committing to customer satisfaction.
Ultimately, action is what determines success or failure. By fostering coordinated development across production and sales, we are leading the advancement of the local agricultural‑input industry.
Grasp the pulse of the times
Eco‑friendly fertilizers are an inevitable choice for high‑quality agricultural development.
The National 14th Five-Year Plan advocates the development of new‑type fertilizers, aligning with the country’s trend toward green agriculture.
At the conference, Professor Yang Yuechao of Shandong Agricultural University presented on “The Development and Application of Humic Acid–Based Controlled-Release Fertilizers.” He emphasized that unscientific and irrational fertilizer application leads to significant waste of fertilizer resources and severe agricultural non-point source pollution.
For China’s three major food crops, the seasonal average nutrient use efficiencies of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers are only 33%, 24%, and 42%, respectively. Humic acid‑based controlled‑release fertilizers, as a new type of fertilizer, can enhance nutrient use efficiency, reduce labor input, conserve fertilizer, and improve economic returns, making them one of the effective solutions to these challenges. After more than a decade of rapid development, “controlled‑release fertilizers” and “humic acid fertilizers” have gained considerable recognition among China’s emerging fertilizer categories. According to incomplete statistics from the China Phosphate Fertilizer Association, in 2021, coated slow‑ and controlled‑release fertilizers accounted for 11.5% of total new‑type fertilizer consumption, while humic acid fertilizers represented 29.2%. Among the 11 major categories of new‑type fertilizers classified by industry, controlled‑release and humic acid products together comprise 40.7% of the market.
Together with Shandong Agricultural University, Nongda Group has been actively engaged in the research and development of innovative fertilizers, mastering three key technologies: controlled‑release fertilizer technology, superhydrophobic modification, network interpenetrating modification, and membrane‑material toughening. The company has also developed three highly efficient humic‑acid solidification and activation catalysts, pioneered an advanced solid‑phase activation process for humic acid, and conducted research on its graded extraction techniques. These efforts have enabled highly efficient solid‑phase catalytic activation of humic acid under mild conditions, boosting activation efficiency by more than 100% while reducing costs by 21%. Nongda Group hopes that this solid‑state activation technology will steer the future direction of humic‑acid applications. In addition, based on the nutrient requirements of different crops, Nongda Group has launched a series of crop‑specific humic‑acid controlled‑release fertilizers. These products have been widely deployed across 31 provinces and municipalities nationwide, applied to rice, corn, and other major crops, and have demonstrated significant benefits, including reduced fertilizer use with enhanced efficacy, energy and resource conservation, and improved environmental performance through pollution reduction and emission control.
Products are king.
Drive the market through products, develop distribution channels, and strengthen the enterprise.
Deliver a powerful product portfolio and comprehensively elevate product capabilities!
Dr. Hong Pizheng delivered a presentation titled “Product Adaptation and Upgrading to Enhance Customer Outcomes and Experience.” Dr. Hong explained that, based on soil and crop conditions in South China and informed by customer needs and market research, the Group has developed fertilizer products tailored to different crops, focusing on formulation, functionality, and manufacturing processes. The presentation covered the Sipingbashan series, the Super Formula series, the 48h series, the High‑Tower series, as well as introductions to new products. These offerings are better suited to the soils and growth requirements of South China, helping to improve product quality while embodying Nongda Group’s commitment to “enabling more farmers to achieve greater economic returns.” The Group remains dedicated to driving market growth through product excellence and customer value, strengthening distribution channels, and bolstering the company’s overall competitiveness.
