Every day, we risk our safety driving on provincial roads and highways to scout routes, promptly relaying first-hand logistics information to inform the company’s decision-making.
The epidemic is an order, and prevention and control are our responsibility. In the face of this crisis, no one is an outsider; ensuring the success of spring farming is a duty that all employees of Nongda Fertilizer Industry must shoulder without hesitation.
In the dual battles against the pandemic and for spring farming, all company employees pulled together with one heart and one mind, surmounted formidable challenges, turned crises into opportunities, and delivered a resounding victory. At the same time, numerous star employees and standout departments emerged.
Starting with this issue, we will continue to share their outstanding achievements.
This sudden battle against the epidemic has had the most significant impact on the company’s logistics, which have undergone dramatic changes compared to normal supply chains.
Starting on the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, under the guidance of the company’s overall strategy, Li Yi began coordinating with logistics partners to resume operations and arrange for vehicles to pick up and deliver goods. During the peak of the pandemic, he risked his safety each day by driving out onto provincial roads and highways to scout routes, promptly relaying first-hand logistics updates to inform the company’s decision-making.
As the demand for fertilizers during spring planting grows increasingly urgent and road closures due to the pandemic persist, Li Yi introduced a shipping model that shifts from truck transport to rail freight in peripheral markets, enabling the company to respond to the crisis and take the lead in capturing these external markets.
As the market launch ramps up across all business lines to build inventory and seize market share, logistics capacity has become severely constrained. Li Yi has mobilized logistics partners to secure available vehicles, slashing the time required to source trucks to just half a day. For any shipments that remain unfilled within that timeframe, the company will immediately lift all restrictions and allow customers to pick up their goods themselves.
After February 15, daily shipments exceeded 2,000 tons, peaking at 3,600 tons, and logistical pressures gradually eased.
In every battle against the epidemic, there are ultimately only two kinds of people: heroes and those who fall. In this particular fight—logistics—Li Yi offered invaluable advice and strategies, successfully defusing the crisis and securing victory.
