Staying Vigilant Amidst Stillness, Ensuring Spring Farming in Motion — A Letter from Ma Xuewen, Chairman of Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd., to All Employees and Customers

Release Date:

2020-02-10

We vow to advance both epidemic prevention and spring farming in tandem, ensuring neither is neglected and achieving dual victories.

Dear全体员工, esteemed customers:

Hello everyone!

The pandemic of 2020, like other disasters throughout history, will ultimately pass. Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and through the concerted efforts of the entire Party, the armed forces, and all ethnic groups across the country, the spread of the epidemic has been brought under preliminary control, and epidemic prevention and control work has achieved phased results.

The pandemic will eventually pass, and society must continue to advance. In 2020, with the task of eradicating poverty firmly before us, it is all the more imperative that we in the agricultural inputs sector overcome every obstacle and forge ahead with determination.

At present, the Lunar New Year has passed, and the Awakening of Insects is just around the corner. While we continue to follow instructions and work together to combat the epidemic, it’s time to get moving to ensure a successful spring planting season—and to fulfill our mission of helping more farmers use higher‑quality fertilizers and achieve greater economic returns.

With strong support from the local government, the company officially resumed operations on February 10. To achieve the dual goals of epidemic prevention and ensuring spring farming—pursuing both with equal vigor—the company calls upon all employees:

To all on‑the‑job employees in the production system: As you work in a relatively crowded production environment, please be sure to practice proper personal protective measures. At the same time, adhere to all safety production rules and regulations, maximize line capacity, ensure adequate inventory, and keep supplies well stocked so that we can promptly provide sufficient products to support spring farming operations.

To all employees currently on the job in the procurement system: You shoulder the dual responsibility of sourcing raw materials for our company and supplying them to industry peers. It is imperative that you seamlessly coordinate with both upstream and downstream customers, ensuring smooth production at our end while also enabling our partners to access our controlled-release fertilizers, humic acids, and microbial inoculants. Together, let us contribute to a successful spring planting season.

To all on‑the‑job employees of the marketing system: You are closest to the front lines of spring planting. Whether or not you can meet with customers in person, make sure to stay connected with them at all times and be ready to serve them whenever needed.

To all on‑duty employees of the materials management system: You shoulder the dual responsibility of ensuring product quality and facilitating efficient loading and unloading. During this special period, please remain vigilant in maintaining product quality and rigorously verify the quality of all incoming and outgoing materials. At the same time, ensure that raw materials are promptly unloaded upon arrival and finished products are swiftly loaded for shipment.

To all on‑the‑job employees of the logistics system: you are the key to resolving bottlenecks in the flow of goods. We urge you to think creatively and explore every possible solution, striving to deliver products to our customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Employees in logistics and support roles, please adhere to the work schedules for your respective positions, perform your duties diligently, and ensure the smooth operation of production and business activities.

Dear distributors, we are a community of shared interests. Let’s work together to get our products into the hands of farmers as quickly as possible, ensuring they can apply them to their fields without delay and safeguarding crop yields—this is our common goal. In areas where receiving shipments is challenging, we urge you to coordinate proactively with local governments, expedite deliveries, and build up adequate inventory. At the same time, please don’t view this phase’s inventory as excess stock. On the contrary, let’s turn this pandemic‑induced “crisis” into an “opportunity,” bringing our superior products to even more farmers.

As spring returns to the land, I firmly believe that we will ultimately prevail over the pandemic. With all things reviving, let us unite and take action, standing together as one to fight the epidemic, staying true to our original aspirations to ensure a successful spring planting, and vowing to achieve dual victories—effectively containing the virus while safeguarding agricultural production.
