Humic Acid Manufacturer: Fertilization Guidelines for Humic Acid Organic Fertilizer

What are the fertilization guidelines for humic acid organic fertilizer? Today… Humic acid manufacturer The editor has summarized the following points:

First, apply fertilizers through band application, hole application, or concentrated placement, especially bio‑organic and functional organic fertilizers. From the perspective of fertilizer efficacy, concentrated application is most effective for maximizing the availability of phosphorus nutrients. If phosphorus is applied directly to the soil, the readily available phosphorus in organic fertilizers is easily immobilized by the soil, thereby reducing its effectiveness. The key to furrow and hole application is to place the nutrients within the zone where the root system can extend. The ideal fertilization method is to keep the fertilizer away from the seeds or crop roots, maintaining a sufficient distance so that the plants can absorb and utilize it only after they have grown to an appropriate stage.

Second, liquid organic fertilizers contain a high proportion of readily available nutrients and are applied through irrigation as topdressing. Some well‑decomposed organic materials can also be used as topdressing. When applying organic fertilizers as topdressings, the following three points should be kept in mind: First, the release of the substantial slow‑release nutrients in organic fertilizers occurs gradually; therefore, organic topdressing should be applied several days earlier than chemical fertilizer topdressing. Second, organic fertilizers have relatively low nutrient concentrations; if they lack certain essential elements, appropriate single‑nutrient chemical fertilizers can be applied to supplement them. Third, a rational ratio between base fertilizer and topdressing should be established; for crops grown under high‑temperature conditions, it is advisable to reduce the amount of base fertilizer and increase the amount of topdressing.

Third, the principle governing nutrient supply from organic fertilizers is to ensure that the ratio of nitrogen supplied by organic fertilizers to that supplied by chemical fertilizers equals 1:1.

Fourth, the release and transformation of nutrient elements from organic fertilizers, as well as the soil’s capacity to retain these nutrients, vary among soils of different textures; therefore, distinct fertilization strategies should be adopted. In sandy soils, increasing the application of organic fertilizers to raise soil organic matter content can improve the soil’s physical and chemical properties and enhance its ability to conserve both nutrients and water. However, for high‑quality organic fertilizers with a high nutrient content, the single application rate should not be excessive; overapplication may scorch seedlings, and the readily available nutrients released during decomposition can be easily leached away. Such high‑nutrient organic fertilizers are best applied in multiple doses—both as base fertilizer and as top dressing. In clay soils, organic fertilizers must be thoroughly decomposed; since nutrient supply is slow in clay, they should be applied early, ideally close to the crop roots.
