The national standard “Determination of Fluoride in Fertilizers—Ion-Selective Electrode Method,” led by Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd., and the industry standard “Humic Acid Compound Fertilizers,” in which the company participated, were recently approved for publication. The national standard “Determination of Fluoride in Fertilizers—Ion-Selective Electrode Method” has been rigorously validated through extensive testing, establishing an ion-selective electrode-based analytical method for fluoride in fertilizers. This work lays the groundwork for the development of future industry standards and national method standards, provides a reliable analytical basis for setting limit values in product specifications, and offers robust support for the safe use of fertilizers, the establishment of maximum permissible levels for toxic and harmful substances, and government regulatory efforts.

The development of the industry standard for “Humic Acid Compound (Compound) Fertilizers” aligns with the requirements of China’s fertilizer industry, fostering technological advancement and enhancing product quality while providing a reliable operational basis for quality control. At the same time, it promotes the rational utilization of resources, boosts economic efficiency, and standardizes enterprises’ practices regarding product quality. It also establishes benchmarks for government regulatory agencies to assess product quality and offers a reference framework for arbitration bodies to mediate disputes among enterprises, market operators, and consumer groups, thereby contributing to fair and orderly market transactions.
The approval of these two standard projects is of great significance for enhancing China’s standards system for humic acid and compound fertilizers, as well as for promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the humic acid industry.
