To promote rational fertilization and enhance both yield and efficiency in potato cultivation, our company, in collaboration with the Fertilizer Station of the Feicheng Agricultural Bureau and the Feicheng Potato Association, conducted a field trial and demonstration of potassium‑controlled fertilizer application in Wangzhuang Town, Feicheng. With the open‑field potato harvest now underway, this is an ideal time to assess yields. On June 22, our company invited representatives from the Soil and Fertilizer Station and the Economic Crops Station of the Agricultural Bureau, as well as agricultural extension stations from various townships and numerous large-scale potato growers—totaling over a hundred participants—to Ding Yuanping’s demonstration plot in Weijiafang Village, Wangzhuang Town. At the site, randomly selected plots were harvested and weighed on‑site, allowing all parties to evaluate the performance of this new fertilizer type.
To promote rational fertilization and enhance both yield and efficiency in potato cultivation, our company, in collaboration with the Fertilizer Station of the Feicheng Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and the Feicheng Potato Association, has jointly conducted a field trial and demonstration of potassium‑controlled fertilization in Wangzhuang Town, Feicheng. With the open‑field potato harvest now underway, this is an ideal time to assess yields.

On June 22, our company invited more than a hundred participants—including representatives from the Soil and Fertilizer Station and the Economic Crops Station of the Agricultural Bureau, agricultural technology stations from various townships, and leading potato growers—to Ding Yuanping’s potato demonstration field in Weijiafang Village, Wangzhuang Town. At the site, randomly selected plots were subjected to on‑site yield measurements, allowing all parties to jointly evaluate the performance of this new fertilizer.

To ensure the fairness and impartiality of the on-site yield measurement, an expert panel was specially convened, comprising Han Xiuxiang, Director of the Soil and Fertilizer Station of the Feicheng Municipal Bureau of Agriculture; Wang Zongfu, President of the Feicheng Potato Association; and Director Li from the Key Laboratory of Humic Acid Fertilizers. The panel also provided a detailed explanation of the yield‑estimation methodology at the site.

To ensure the accuracy of yield estimation, the length and width of the field ridges were measured on site. Two plots—each 0.2 mu—were selected: one under conventional fertilization and the other under a potassium‑controlled fertilization regime for potatoes. After uprooting the seedlings, mechanical harvesting was carried out, followed by on‑site yield measurement.

During the harvest, Wang, president of the Feicheng Potato Association, casually cut open a freshly dug potassium‑controlled fertilizer potato and conducted an on‑site analysis. Drawing on his extensive farming experience, he offered insightful assessments of the crop’s fertilization and irrigation practices. According to President Wang, the potassium‑controlled fertilizer potatoes exhibited no signs of nutrient deficiency throughout their entire growth cycle, with uniformly sized tubers and minimal disease incidence.

After a flurry of intensive harvesting, packing, and weighing, the yield‑estimation experts meticulously verified and calculated the recorded data. Ultimately, the head of the Municipal Agricultural Bureau announced on the spot the results of the potassium‑fertilizer‑controlled potato yield trial: a 12.85% increase in yield compared with conventional fertilization.

The expert panel stated that, under normal conditions, a yield increase of 5% is already quite significant. This potassium‑controlling fertilizer specially formulated for potatoes can boost yields by more than 12%, demonstrating that it is indeed a reliable and trustworthy fertilizer for farmers.

Seeing these yield‑boosting results, demonstration farmer Ding Yuanping was overjoyed. He told the crowd on the spot: “This year, our potatoes suffered some frost and water damage, but those treated with Nongda’s specialized potassium‑controlling fertilizer experienced much milder frost injury and a noticeably higher yield—about 600 jin more per mu. In effect, the fertilizer we used ended up costing us nothing!”

Upon hearing these candid remarks, the potato farmers who had come to observe on site instantly felt reassured and unanimously agreed that they would henceforth use this Nongda potassium‑control fertilizer specially formulated for potatoes.
