On April 3, the inaugural launch event for the 2018 “Nongda Humic Acid Cup” China Quality Agricultural Products World Guinness Challenge was held in Wenshang, Jining. This year’s Guinness‑breaking initiative is co‑hosted by the National Engineering Laboratory for the Efficient Utilization of Soil and Fertilizer Resources and Shandong Radio and Television, with the Agricultural Science Channel of Shandong Radio and Television and Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. serving as co‑organizers. Guests attending the ceremony included Zhu Qingrong, Director of the Wenshang County Bureau of Agriculture and Plant Protection Station; Hong Peizheng, Senior Agronomist at the Ministry of Agriculture’s Key Laboratory for Humic Acid‑Based Fertilizers; Liu Lu, Senior Agronomist at the Shandong Provincial Engineering Research Center for the Efficient Utilization of Humic Acid; and Zhang Chengyin, Northern China Regional Director of Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd.

This event will continue to follow the 2017 competition format, allowing participants to compete not only on crop size and weight but also on intrinsic qualities such as sugar content and firmness. At each regional venue, generous prizes will be awarded to challengers, with a grand finale offering a cash prize of RMB 100,000. A formal awards ceremony will be held at year’s end. By benefiting farmers and fostering win‑win outcomes for businesses, the initiative will also play a positive role in promoting the green and sustainable development of China’s agricultural sector.

At the meeting, Zhu Qingrong, director of the Wenshang County Agricultural Bureau and the Plant Protection Station, stated that the launch of Nongda Fertilizer Industry’s “China’s High-Quality Agricultural Products Challenge the World Guinness” Wenshang Corn Challenge not only promotes the development of Wenshang’s corn‑growing sector but also plays a vital role in advancing green agriculture and achieving zero growth in fertilizer use.

This event is sponsored by Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. Zhang Chengyin, Director of the North China Region at Nongda Fertilizer, stated that the “China’s High-Quality Agricultural Products Challenge the World Guinness Record” initiative builds on the legacy of the Grain King Competition and Nongda Fertilizer’s commitment to helping more farmers access higher‑quality fertilizers. It is a large‑scale series of events meticulously designed to boost agricultural productivity, increase farmers’ incomes, and promote sustainable, green agriculture. As a leading brand in humic acid fertilizers in China, Nongda Fertilizer embraces both its corporate mission and social responsibility. This challenge brings together soil quality improvement, agricultural technical services, high crop yields, and increased farmer incomes, while leveraging scientifically sound fertilization techniques and practices to bring superior products and cutting‑edge technologies to market—thereby contributing to the healthy development of the industry and to farmers’ prosperity.

Fang Gang, the general agent of Nongda Fertilizer in Wenshang, expressed full confidence in the success of this event.
