[Good News] A single infographic explains the “National Manufacturing Single-Champion Demonstration Enterprise” honor awarded to Nongda Fertilizer Industry.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics jointly announced the list of the third batch of Manufacturing Single-Champion Enterprises and Single-Champion Products. Nongda Fertilizer Co., Ltd. was successfully selected as a “Manufacturing Single-Champion Demonstration Enterprise,” with a total of 68 enterprises nationwide making the cut.

As shown in the figure above, “Demonstration Enterprises for Single‑Item Champions” encompass numerous “firsts”:
The first “one” refers to the authoritative bodies: the joint assessment conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Federation of Industrial Economics.
The second “one” refers to official recognition: the “Single Crown” is the nationwide, government‑endorsed acknowledgment of a product’s market influence.
The third “one” signifies industry leadership: for many years, Nongda Fertilizer has focused on research into humic acid activation technology, developing and promoting a new line of humic acid‑based fertilizers, and has maintained a leading position in the national humic acid fertilizer sector.
The fourth “one” signifies that technology comes first: Nongda Fertilizer’s humic acid activation technology is internationally leading and was awarded the China Patent Excellence Award in 2018. The company has also been approved to establish the Ministry of Agriculture’s Key Laboratory for Humic Acid-Based Fertilizers, bringing together 14 distinguished experts and scholars from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, industry associations, and universities to jointly advance the further development of the humic acid fertilizer sector.

The sixth “one” refers to the fact that, in the national compound fertilizer and new‑type fertilizer sectors, Nongda Humic Acid is the country’s “single‑category champion.”

According to reports, this selection process, launched in 2016, aims to guide and support enterprises in focusing on innovation within niche product segments, enhancing product quality, and cultivating strong brands, thereby boosting their international visibility and competitiveness while leveraging the leading and catalytic role of single‑category champion companies.
To be eligible for consideration, two fundamental criteria must be met: First, the enterprise must maintain a long-term focus on specific niche segments within the manufacturing sector, with revenue from these niche products accounting for at least 70% of its total business revenue. Second, the enterprise must hold a market‑leading position and possess world‑class technological capabilities in its respective niche. In terms of market performance, the product must rank among the top three globally in market share; in terms of technological strength, the enterprise’s key performance indicators must be at the forefront of comparable international products.
