On May 3, the Feicheng City celebration of the May Fourth Youth Day and the award ceremony for the ninth “Top Ten Outstanding Young People of Feicheng” were solemnly held at the Feicheng City Radio and Television Station’s studio.
Wang Lijun, Deputy Secretary of the Feicheng Municipal Party Committee; Liu Yi, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Congress; Jia Chunlin, Vice Mayor; and other officials attended the award ceremony and presented awards to the winning representatives.

Chen Shigeng currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Soil Ecology Research Institute at Nongda Fertilizer Industry and the Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Demonstration Engineering Technology Research Center for the Efficient Utilization of Humic Acid.
After graduating from Shandong Agricultural University, he resolutely joined the Nongda Fertilizer Group. Over the past decade and more, he has held positions in the company’s Quality Center, Production Center, Technical Center, Strategic Center, and Testing Center.
His extensive, cross‑center work experience has deepened Chen Shi’s understanding that a company committed to sustainable growth must possess robust technological capabilities and strong product‑development expertise.
Over the years, Chen Shigeng has focused on technological innovation and the development of R&D teams and platforms. Together with the company’s R&D team, he has successively launched more than 20 crop-specific active humic acid slow‑release fertilizers; notably, the integrated production technology for active humic acid compound fertilizers has reached an internationally advanced level.
Under the leadership of Chen Shigeng, Nongda Fertilizer has successively established more than ten national, provincial, and municipal research platforms, including the National Enterprise Technology Center, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Key Laboratory for Humic Acid-Based Fertilizers, and the Shandong Provincial Demonstration Engineering Research Center for the Efficient Utilization of Humic Acids. These initiatives have made outstanding contributions to elevating the company’s R&D capabilities, spearheading technological innovation in the industry, and driving economic and social development.

At the meeting, Jia Chunlin, Vice Mayor of Feicheng City, delivered a speech, expressing his recognition and appreciation for the work of Chen Shigeng and other “Outstanding Young People of Feicheng.” He noted that in recent years, generation after generation of young people in Taodu have enthusiastically responded to the call of the Municipal Party Committee, carried forward the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, worked tirelessly, and striven to lead the way, making remarkable contributions to the city’s economic and social development. He urged all League members and young people across the city to take these role models as examples, shoulder the glorious mission entrusted by the times, innovate and act with pragmatism, assume responsibility courageously, and actively engage in the great endeavor of Feicheng’s transformation and development, thereby achieving outstanding accomplishments worthy of history, the times, and their youth.
