(This report by Yang Cheng, Strategic Development Center) On March 15, a delegation of four review experts from the Tianjin Patent Examination Cooperation Center of the Patent Office of the National Intellectual Property Administration paid a visit to Nongda Fertilizer Industry to provide guidance. They were accompanied by Li Guang, Director of the Taian Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau; Zhang Peng, Director of the Feicheng Science and Technology Bureau; and Zhang Yanhai, Director of the Feicheng Intellectual Property Bureau. Enterprises including Yiteng Group of Feicheng, Shiheng Special Steel, and Lianyi Grating attended an intellectual property exchange meeting, where they discussed and shared insights on issues related to the drafting, filing, and maintenance of intellectual property rights. The delegation also reached a preliminary agreement on potential cooperation between the Tianjin Center and these enterprises. Ding Fangjun, Director of the Soil Ecology Research Institute at Nongda Fertilizer Industry, along with Vice Director Chen Shigeng and technical staff, participated in the symposium.
At the meeting, the examining experts highlighted their practices and procedures for reviewing patent applications, offering guidance to R&D personnel on fostering innovation and securing successful patent filings. The experts emphasized that researchers should be adept at identifying inventive concepts, carefully analyzing examination opinions, and providing targeted responses to address objections, thereby enhancing the likelihood of patent grant. In addition, they provided strategic advice spanning the entire patent lifecycle—from filing to portfolio management—and from helping companies pinpoint technological innovations to charting future development directions.
At the meeting, technical personnel from Nongda Fertilizer Industry raised more than ten patent-related questions, which were thoroughly addressed one by one by the reviewing experts.
Going forward, the company will continue to strengthen its strategic collaboration with the Tianjin Center of the Patent Examination Cooperation, fully leveraging its enterprise‑industry‑university‑research strengths. Relying on national‑level research and innovation platforms, it will implement a patent‑driven micro‑navigation strategy for humic acid fertilizer products. In partnership with the Tianjin Center, the company will enhance its intellectual property management system, develop practical training bases, and build robust IP‑operation capabilities, thereby laying a solid technological foundation for the research, development, and production of higher‑quality humic acid and compound fertilizers, and ensuring that more farmers can access superior humic acid‑based fertilizers.
