[New Year Kickoff] Pooling Strength, Driving Transformation, and Striving to Usher in a New Era of Reform and Change

On February 22, Nongda Fertilizer Co., Ltd. held its 2018 Spring Festival Gala in the company’s sixth-floor conference room. More than 300 employees, including all of the company’s marketing professionals as well as staff from the Research Institute, Production, Supply and Trade, and Back‑Office departments, attended the event. The meeting was graced by the presence of Ma Xuewen, Chairman and General Manager; Ding Fangjun, Deputy General Manager and Director of the Soil Ecology Research Institute; and Ma Xuezhi, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Production.

At the meeting, Ma Xuewen delivered a speech titled “Pooling Strengths to Drive Transformation,” summarizing Nongda Fertilizer Industry’s performance in 2017 and outlining plans for 2018.

Ma Xuewen pointed out that, despite the broader industry downturn, Nongda Fertilizer Industry has achieved growth against the trend. This remarkable and commendable success is inseparable from the hard work of all Nongda Fertilizer employees, the trust of our distributors and farmers, and the strong support from all sectors of society. He further noted that in 2017, the key to this growth lay in the Soil Ecology Research Institute’s strategic repositioning, innovations in the production system that boosted efficiency, the Supply‑Trade Center’s proactive expansion into new business areas, the enhanced combat effectiveness of the marketing team, and a shift in the mindset and capabilities of the functional departments.

Meanwhile, Ma Xuewen emphasized why Nongda Fertilizer Industry can be hailed as the “leading brand of humic acid fertilizers in China.” He pointed out four key factors: First, the Ministry of Agriculture’s Key Laboratory for Humic Acid Fertilizers has been established at Nongda Fertilizer Industry. This reflects the nation’s high regard for humic acid; the laboratory belongs not only to Nongda Fertilizer but to the entire industry and to the Ministry of Agriculture—and by extension, to the country. Leveraging this laboratory as a platform and humic acid as its core, Nongda Fertilizer will make due contributions to China’s agricultural inputs sector and to the nation as a whole. Second, the industry standard for “Humic Acid Compound Fertilizers,” spearheaded by Nongda Fertilizer, has officially come into effect. Third, Nongda Fertilizer’s humic acid activation technology has been awarded the China Patent Excellence Award and the Shandong Province Science and Technology Progress Award, and the company has undertaken five national key R&D projects under the 13th Five-Year Plan. Fourth, Nongda Fertilizer took the lead in compiling the “White Paper on China’s Humic Acid Fertilizer Industry” and publishing the “Corporate Social Responsibility Green Book.” For these reasons, it has been recognized by the China Humic Acid Industry Association as the “leading brand of humic acid fertilizers in China.”

Ma Xuewen emphasized that Nongda Fertilizer Industry has been recognized as a leading brand—this is the result of 23 years of steady accumulation and gradual breakthroughs, and also the outcome of its unwavering commitment to humic acid over the same period. This recognition will provide strong support for Nongda Fertilizer Industry’s transformation and upgrading in 2018.

Subsequently, Ma Xuewen provided a concise analysis of industry trends and the direction of transformation, designating 2018 as the “Year of Transformation and Reform” for Nongda Fertilizer. He introduced a development model based on “sincere cooperation and unified effort,” advocating that the entire company embrace both customer orientation and a strong sense of responsibility. He also outlined key priorities for 2018, urging all employees to ensure that the transformation and reform initiatives are effectively implemented.

Finally, Ma Xuewen inspired all employees with the words, “Happiness is earned through hard work, and success belongs to those who put their heart into it,” and reaffirmed his resolve by urging everyone to “roll up our sleeves and work tirelessly, and get down to business to ensure effective implementation.” He assured all employees, customers, and members of the broader community that in 2018, Nongda Fertilizer Industry would translate its commitments into concrete actions, drive transformation and change to tangible results, deliver benefits to farmers, bring joy to every employee, and earn the satisfaction of all sectors of society.
