On July 21, the grand celebration marking the 60th anniversary of China’s environmentally friendly humic acid industry and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the China Humic Acid Industry Association was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Nongda Fertilizer was invited to attend the ceremony and was honored with the title “Witness to Six Decades.”
Attending the conference were Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People’s Congress; Xie Zhenhua, China’s Special Envoy for Climate Change and Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission; Lu Ming, a member of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People’s Congress and former Vice Minister of Agriculture; Li Shousheng, President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation; Zeng Yande, Director-General of the Department of Crop Production under the Ministry of Agriculture and Director of the Center for Monitoring and Protection of Cultivated Land Quality, along with other distinguished leaders and guests. Also in attendance were experts from relevant research institutes, industry associations, and universities, as well as nearly 300 representatives from the national humic acid industry, including Shandong Agricultural University Fertilizer Co., Ltd.
China’s humic acid industry began its research in 1957 and has since traversed a remarkable 60-year journey. Today, humic acid has transformed from an obscure “dark substance” found in nature into a “shining pearl” adorning the land of China, and from an unnoticed “green sprite” into a “beauty‑enhancing factor” that nurtures our ecological home.
