2017-06-23

On June 23, entrusted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Tai’an Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology convened relevant industry technical experts to conduct the acceptance review of the “Development of a Novel Multifunctional Microbial Fertilizer” project, which was undertaken by Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Technology Co., Ltd. under the Shandong Province Special Program for Independent Innovation and Achievement Transformation.

In response to the problems caused by the excessive use of chemical fertilizers in China in recent years—such as soil compaction, secondary salinization, declining soil fertility, resource waste, and ecological environmental pollution—Nongda Fertilizer Industry, in collaboration with Professor Liu Xunli of Shandong Agricultural University, has actively pursued the research and development of microbial fertilizers. After three years of dedicated effort, they have jointly developed functional microbial agents that offer disease suppression, growth promotion, and soil conditioning; novel multi‑functional microbial compound fertilizers tailored for different crops; and fertilizer efficiency enhancers. These products demonstrate significant efficacy in disease control, plant growth stimulation, and soil improvement. Microbial fertilizers are characterized by their ability to ameliorate soil quality, increase crop yields, enhance product quality, and protect the environment.

After carefully listening to the project’s progress report, reviewing the acceptance documentation, and conducting on-site assessments, the expert panel fully endorsed the project’s research outcomes, unanimously approved its acceptance, and offered constructive recommendations for the company’s next steps in research and development. During the field inspection, the experts unanimously commended Nongda Feiyе’s capabilities in translating technologies—such as microbial fertilizers and efficiency‑enhancing fertilizers—into practical applications, as well as the scale of these technological achievements.

The implementation of this project will effectively improve soil conditions, enhance soil fertility, prevent and control soil-borne diseases, increase crop yields, and reduce the use of chemical fertilizers, thereby playing a vital role in advancing eco‑friendly, environmentally sustainable agriculture. At the same time, it will strengthen the company’s R&D capabilities in new‑type fertilizers, broaden its product portfolio, and provide robust support for consolidating its competitive edge in the innovative fertilizer sector and driving its transformation and upgrading.
