The Lantern Festival is a day of jubilation for the Chinese people: admiring lanterns, solving riddles, and savoring sweet glutinous rice balls. With opulent carriages and fragrant horses, amid blossoms of fire and silver flowers, one’s celebration is truly complete only when accompanied by a few timeless poetic lines.
On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, as we celebrate the Lantern Festival, our company organized a “Welcome the Lantern Festival, Solve Lantern Riddles” event on the morning of February 11th at the plaza of the Research Building, aiming to mark this festive occasion and enrich our employees’ cultural life. The event received an enthusiastic response from all staff. Bright red lanterns hung throughout the square, seemingly igniting the very air itself.
Even before the appointed hour, company employees had gathered in the square, all brimming with joy and enthusiasm. Each employee received a numbered ticket, entered the riddle‑guessing area, and picked puzzles they felt confident solving. The staff who organized the event revealed the answers and handed out prizes to the participants. In about half an hour, every riddle on the square had been cracked—truly, the real experts are among the people!
