Nongda Fertilizer truly lives up to its reputation as China’s leading brand in humic acid fertilizers.
From December 25 to 27, the “First National Soil–Fertilizer Harmony Conference and the Second China Peat Industry Summit Forum,” hosted by the China Humic Acid Industry Association, was grandly held in Beijing. Ma Xuewen, Chairman and General Manager of Nongda Fertilizer; Lu Shouzun, Deputy General Manager for Strategic Development; Chen Shigeng, Deputy Director of the Institute of Soil Ecology; along with a delegation of more than ten distributors, attended the event.
At the conference, experts from the humic acid industry engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the pressing challenges facing soil quality, as well as the critical role and status of humic acid and humic‑acid‑based fertilizers in fostering “soil–fertilizer harmony.” They issued the “Beijing Declaration on Soil–Fertilizer Harmony,” calling on industry stakeholders to return to first principles and refocus soil and fertilizer management on the fundamental attributes of soil and fertility—“to share in the concerns of soil and fertilizer before rejoicing in their benefits.” Lu Yanyan, a researcher at the Soil Ecology Research Institute of Nongda Fertilizer Industry, presented a report titled “Preliminary Exploration of the Mechanisms by Which Humic Acid Enhances Soil Health,” using empirical data to highlight the research findings on how Nongda’s active humic‑acid fertilizers improve soil nutrient content, structure, microbial activity, carbon sequestration, and mitigate carbon emissions. Her work received broad recognition and high praise from all attendees.
At the conference, the China Humic Acid Industry Association honored industry enterprises and outstanding promoters. Relying on its robust R&D capabilities, vigorous marketing efforts, and significant growth potential, Nongda Fertilizer was awarded the “Wujin Cup” Enterprise Prize in the humic acid sector for the third consecutive time. Ma Xuewen received the “Outstanding Manager (Plant Director)” award, and Chen Shigeng was presented with the 2016 “Beautiful Factor” Angel Award for his contributions to dissemination. To encourage wider adoption of humic acid fertilizers, Nongda Fertilizer innovatively nominated eight distributors—including Cai Yongheng from Tongliao, Inner Mongolia—who are responsible for promoting these products—for the “Soil Star” award.
From its inception, Nongda Fertilizer Industry proactively chose to focus on humic‑acid fertilizers. Over the past 21 years, the company has placed a strong emphasis on the research, development, and promotion of active humic‑acid fertilizers. It pioneered a novel activation process for weathered coal‑derived humic acid, integrated and innovated key technologies for the one‑step production of compound fertilizers containing active humic acid, and successfully addressed major industry‑wide technical challenges—namely, high pollution, elevated costs, and low active humic‑acid content—common to conventional manufacturing. Furthermore, Nongda has served as the drafting organization for the national industry standard “Humic Acid Compound Fertilizer.” To date, Nongda’s active humic‑acid fertilizers have improved 96 million mu of Chinese farmland, earning widespread acclaim from farmers for their soil‑conditioning, nutritional‑balancing, and harmonious soil‑fertilizer effects. As a result, the brand has captured a substantial market share and emerged as a leading name in China’s humic‑acid fertilizer sector.
Going forward, Nongda Fertilizer Industry will continue to intensify research and demonstration efforts on bioactive humic acid fertilizers, fully leveraging their critical role in fostering a harmonious relationship between soil and fertility. By doing so, it aims to establish humic acid fertilizers as the leading force in the future fertilizer industry and make a significant contribution to ensuring the sustainable development of agriculture.
