The technological sophistication of Nongda Humic Acid is exceptionally high.
On July 29, the Taian Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government convened a city-wide science and technology awards conference, solemnly commending the organizations and scientific and technological professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the city’s scientific and technological endeavors and patent development. The company’s patent entitled “A Method for Producing an Active Humic Acid Slow-Release Fertilizer” was awarded the First Prize in the Taian City Patent Competition, setting a new record for the enterprise in the field of scientific and technological innovation. Attending the meeting were Wang Yunpeng, Secretary of the Taian Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Li Xixin, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Liu Weidong, Member of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor; Yin Yanxiang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress; Zhan Baowei, Vice Mayor of the Municipal Government; and Zhang Jiajun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference, among others.
The patent for the production method of active humic acid slow-release fertilizer addresses key and common technical challenges in humic acid fertilizers by pioneering a novel activation process for weathered coal-derived humic acid. It integrates and innovates critical technologies for the integrated production of active humic acid compound fertilizers, thereby resolving major industry‑wide technical bottlenecks associated with high pollution, high costs, and low active humic acid content in conventional manufacturing. Compared with traditional activation methods, this approach increases active humic acid content by more than 30%, boosts first‑pass yield by 18%, and reduces production energy consumption by 6.5%. When compared with conventional fertilizers, it improves fertilizer use efficiency by 10%–15% and enhances crop yields by 5%–15%.
This award represents high recognition of Nongda Fertilizer’s R&D capabilities and innovative strength, and it also serves as a full affirmation of the company’s efforts to advance technological progress and industrial development in the sector. Moving forward, Nongda Fertilizer will remain committed to an innovation-driven development strategy, continue to pursue integrated industry–university–research collaboration, and steadily strengthen its core competitiveness in scientific and technological innovation. In doing so, the company will make new contributions to accelerating supply-side reform in China’s fertilizer industry, promoting advances in modern agricultural science and technology, ensuring national food security, and advancing rural development.
