(Reported by Hou Baoling) On July 27, the “Feicheng City Special Training Session on Building a City Strong in Quality,” hosted by the Feicheng Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, was successfully held at Nongda Fertilizer Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhiyong, Vice Mayor of Feicheng, and attended by executives from more than 20 enterprises, including Nongda Fertilizer and Shiheng Special Steel.
Lü Jie, a Ph.D. in Quality Management from Shandong University and a national quality award reviewer, provided a comprehensive interpretation and systematic exposition of the Criteria for Performance Excellence and brand management, offering detailed explanations on the core values of the Criteria, key implementation considerations, and the evaluation and adoption of the performance excellence model.
In his address, Vice Mayor Wang Zhiyong once again extended his congratulations to Nongda Fertilizer Industry on being awarded the Taian City Mayor’s Quality Award, and expressed full recognition of the company’s quality‑management efforts. Vice Mayor Wang emphasized that the “Quality‑Driven City” initiative is a major strategic deployment resolutely implemented by the municipal government in line with the Taian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s vision for building a quality‑oriented city, and serves as a powerful lever for advancing Feicheng’s economic transformation and upgrading and for constructing a better Feicheng. To advance this initiative, it is essential to establish an integrated management system guided by strategy, oriented toward clear objectives, and underpinned by performance‑based management; to adopt the Excellence Performance Management model; and to strengthen corporate brand management. Zhang Peng, Director of the Feicheng Municipal Bureau of Quality Supervision, stated that he hopes the Excellence Performance Model will enhance enterprises’ management awareness, bolster their core competitiveness, and help Feicheng’s businesses elevate their quality‑management standards to a new level.
Through the training, enterprise leaders unanimously expressed that they have gained a deeper understanding of the Excellence Performance Model and brand management. They pledged to accelerate the adoption of the Excellence Performance Management System, enhance their quality management capabilities, and achieve steady improvements in product and service quality.
