(This report by Guo Xinsong and Hong Peizheng) From June 28 to 30, the “Foreign Experts Visit Tai’an” event, jointly hosted by the Economic and Technical Experts Department of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Tai’an Municipal Government, officially opened. A total of 80 foreign experts from 24 countries, including the United States, Italy, France, and Egypt, took part in this project‑negotiation forum. Nongda Fertilizer, a national high‑tech enterprise based in Tai’an, was invited to attend.
Foreign experts attending the conference held on-site discussions with the invited Thai‑based organizations. Wu Qinqquan and Hong Pizheng, senior engineers at Nongda Fertilizer Co., Ltd., represented the company in these talks, exploring development trends and technological innovations in next‑generation fertilizers such as controlled‑release fertilizers, humic acid fertilizers, soil conditioners, and water‑soluble fertilizers. During the event, Waled Mohamed Hussein Elkhoby, Chief Agronomist and Technical Advisor of Egypt’s Oran International Company, was invited to Nongda Fertilizer for an exchange session on the research, development, and application of innovative fertilizers. Elkhoby expressed strong appreciation for Nongda Fertilizer’s R&D capabilities, showing particular interest in two specialized rice‑cultivation fertilizers—each available in four distinct formulations. Ding Fangjun, Vice President of Technology at Nongda Fertilizer, engaged with Elkhoby to discuss the technical features, R&D progress, and practical applications of the company’s cutting‑edge fertilizer products.
As Africa’s largest rice‑cultivation base, Olam International has an enormous demand for fertilizers, while Nongda Fertilizer Industry is a leading fertilizer producer, creating significant potential for collaboration. Following discussions, the two parties have reached a preliminary agreement, signaling that Nongda Fertilizer Industry’s innovative fertilizers have opened up a new market pathway on the international stage. Meanwhile, by participating in the “Foreign Experts Visit Taian” event, Nongda Fertilizer Industry has further advanced Taian City’s talent‑driven development strategy, making a substantial contribution to the city’s rapid economic and social progress and its efforts to expand opening-up.
