Nongda Fertilizer Industry has begun construction of its Feicheng base, laying the groundwork for the company’s future headquarters.
After nearly six months of preparation and construction, our Feicheng Branch—Shandong Nongda Fertilizer Development Co., Ltd.—officially commenced operations on August 16, 2008. This marks another significant milestone in the company’s drive toward large-scale development.
The first phase of Shandong Agricultural University Fertilizer Industry Development Co., Ltd. involves an investment of RMB 150 million and the construction of three production lines, which will effectively alleviate our company’s supply‑chain constraints during the autumn season and meet market demand. This initial phase is capable of producing 300,000 tonnes of various fertilizers, generating a total output value of RMB 800 million and contributing RMB 50 million in profits and taxes. During the project’s implementation, the initiative has received close attention and strong support from leaders at the Taian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Feicheng Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, the Feicheng High‑Tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, Shandong Agricultural University, and Shandong Asd Chemical Co., Ltd., among other organizations. With their backing, the project broke ground on May 1 and, in just 110 days, completed high‑standard, high‑quality production lines, workshops, and factory buildings—setting a new record for construction speed in Feicheng City and earning unanimous praise from governments at all levels and partner institutions.
The official commissioning of the first phase of Shandong Agricultural University Fertilizer Industry Development Co., Ltd. will not only lay a solid foundation for meeting the needs of a broad customer base but also make a meaningful contribution to Feicheng’s local economic development. The second phase is scheduled to commence in 2009; upon its completion, the company will be capable of producing over one million tons of various fertilizers, with an annual output value reaching RMB 3 billion and generating RMB 150 million in profits and taxes.
Shandong Agricultural University Fertilizer Industry Development Co., Ltd. has a total planned investment of RMB 300 million for the entire project, with the goal of completing construction within five years and establishing a one-million-ton controlled-release compound fertilizer production base.
