[New Year Kickoff] – 1. Stepping Up Implementation: What Will Nongda Fertilizer Do for You This Year?

Release Date:

2019-02-14

Work diligently and forge ahead with unwavering determination!

At the Spring Festival gathering on February 11, Ma Xuewen, Chairman and General Manager of Nongda Fertilizer Industry, urged the company to meticulously plan and strategically position itself, while also calling on all employees to embody the spirit of the “mountain‑carrying workers” of Mount Tai—focusing relentlessly on execution and striving to usher in a new era of brilliance for Nongda Fertilizer’s second entrepreneurial journey.

I. Why is it essential to ensure rigorous implementation?

Emphasizing practical action and ensuring effective implementation is a defining characteristic of Marxists. In his Critique of the Gotha Program, Marx observed: “A single step of practical action is worth a dozen programs.”

At the meeting, Ma Xuewen further stated:

1. A perfectly comprehensive strategic plan that fails to be implemented is less valuable than focusing on one or two concrete actions.

2. In business, what matters is execution—not pie-in-the-sky plans sketched on the wall.

3. Strategies must be loudly proclaimed and thoroughly communicated, but they cannot remain mere slogans or theoretical exercises on paper.

The many achievements Agritech Fertilizer attained in 2018 were the direct result of rigorous implementation. That year marked a turning point for the company—reversing a downward trend and achieving growth against headwinds, while also laying a solid foundation and establishing key pillars. Looking back, we felt both exhausted and fulfilled: our business metrics reached new heights, with both newly acquired customers and those experiencing positive growth ranking among the industry’s leaders; we secured prestigious designations and accolades, including National Enterprise Technology Center status, designation as a Single‑Item Champion Demonstration Enterprise, accreditation from the Ministry of Agriculture’s laboratory, the China Patent Excellence Award, and the Shandong Province Harvest Award; we successfully organized initiatives such as a challenge to enter the Guinness World Records and region‑specific crop‑focused promotional campaigns; and we strengthened internal management by establishing Heisongtu Agricultural High‑Tech Co., Ltd., launching a business school, and breaking down departmental silos.

It can be said that, thanks to arduous efforts over the past few years, Nongda Fertilizer Industry’s development plan has become increasingly clear, and all the necessary conditions for a major second-phase entrepreneurial drive are now in place. The next step is to press ahead with unwavering implementation, proceeding steadily, link by link, and delivering concrete results through sustained, diligent effort—working hard and seeing things through to the end—to advance all aspects of our work in greater depth, with finer attention to detail, and in a more practical, results‑oriented manner.

Firmly ensuring implementation is both a commitment to our original aspiration—to safeguard the reputation of China Agricultural University and build a strong corporate image—and a fulfillment of our mission—to help more farmers achieve greater economic returns. It also embodies the down-to-earth approach of the Nongda Fertilizer team in turning plans into concrete results, as well as their spirit of striving for progress and working tirelessly to drive development.

II. How can we ensure rigorous implementation?

Located at the foot of Mount Tai, Nongda Fertilizer has, over more than two decades of development, followed a path firmly rooted in rigorous implementation—precisely because it has consistently advanced its work with the steadfast spirit of the “mountain‑carrying laborers” of Mount Tai.

The spirit of the “mountain‑carrying workers” is this: once they take up their load, no matter how rugged the path ahead or how heavy the burden on their shoulders, they press forward without pause, trampling all difficulties and obstacles beneath their feet—and they will never rest until they reach their goal.

In 2019, it also happened to be the “Year of the Golden Pig” for Nongda Fertilizer. As the foremost of the six domestic animals, the Year of the Pig heralds favorable weather, bountiful harvests, and thriving livestock. Like the “mountain‑carrying laborers,” the “Golden Pig” presses forward with unwavering determination, never taking a step backward.

We hope that all employees of Nongda Fertilizer, our extensive network of distributors, and fellow farmers will join forces with Nongda Fertilizer to forge an ever brighter future.

III. What will we do for you in 2019?

1. Group‑wide Operations: We will continue to expand our business scope—e.g., the testing company will strive to strengthen and grow—and further roll out a multi‑brand strategy. Building on existing brands such as Nongda, Nongyou, and Heisongtu, we will focus on specialized product lines—including humic acid applications, microbial products, and soil conditioners—to deepen and refine our offerings. At the same time, we will intensify efforts to provide direct services to large‑scale farmers.

2. We will continue to uphold a customer‑centric, technology‑driven product development approach, delivering products that are even safer and more efficient.

3. We will adopt cost-effectiveness in communication as a key promotional strategy, enabling more farmers to access products with superior value for money.

4. We will strengthen internal management, reduce operational and marketing costs, and pass on greater benefits to the market and to farmers.

“A year’s plan begins in spring.” In the new year, Nongda Fertilizer will continue to uphold the spirit of the Taishan “carrying‑stone workers,” working tirelessly and forging ahead with unwavering determination. Through concrete actions that ensure rigorous implementation, we will strive to usher in a new chapter of our second entrepreneurial journey.
