I. Introduction to Functional Bio-Strains
Microorganisms thrive in the soil and constitute an indispensable component of plant ecosystems. They promote healthy plant growth, supply essential nutrients, and even help protect plants from pest infestations. Their remarkable adaptability to environmental diversity plays a pivotal role in smart agriculture, which leverages big data on weather conditions, and this role is set to become increasingly critical in the future.
II. Agricultural University Functional Bio-Strains
Nongda Fertilizer has consistently adhered to the principle that “microbial strains originate from the soil and are applied back to the soil,” and is committed to becoming a pioneer and leader in the field of agricultural microbial inoculants.
Nongda Fertilizer Industry has collaborated with the National Center for Microbial Preservation, Shandong University, Nanjing Agricultural University, and Shandong Agricultural University—leading institutions in microbiology—to establish the Biofertilizer Research Institute of the Soil Ecology Research Institute, jointly developing functional microbial fertilizers.
The institution has successively applied for and undertaken Shandong Province’s Special Project on Independent Innovation and Achievement Transformation, “Development of a Novel Multifunctional Microbial Fertilizer,” as well as the Taishan Industry Leading Talent Project, “Integration of Key Technologies for a Novel Microbial Fertilizer and Industrialization Demonstration,” securing project funding totaling over RMB 7 million.
A liquid deep‑fermentation–spray‑drying production line with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons of microbial inoculants has been established, propelling the company to become the largest domestic producer of agricultural microbial inoculants and the first in China to integrate deep‑liquid fermentation with spray‑drying technology in fertilizer manufacturing.
The Agricultural University’s microbial fertilizers achieve annual sales of over 30,000 tons and have obtained 33 registration certificates for microbial fertilizers, covering five major product categories: microbial inoculants, bio-organic fertilizers, compound microbial fertilizers, organic matter decomposition agents, and soil‑remediation microbial formulations.
III. Verification of the Efficacy of Nongda Biofertilizer
The efficacy of Nongda biofertilizer can be verified through leaching tests and strain isolation assays.
