Write your thesis on the land.

As a signature agricultural product of Northwest China, Lintao lilies have faced a severe challenge in recent years: a widespread outbreak of yellowing disease in key production areas such as Zhongpu Town and Shangying Township. Despite farmers’ efforts to implement various solutions, the industry has encountered a critical bottleneck. Recognizing this pressing issue within the framework of agricultural socialized services, Taoyang Supply and Marketing Cooperative joined forces with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs’ Key Laboratory for Humic Acid Fertilizers, Shandong Agricultural University, and Nongda Fertilizer Co., Ltd. Leveraging the “Demonstration Project for the Application of Humic Acid Technology in Lintao” as an opportunity, they jointly established the Lintao Lily Research Institute (Lintao Station) under the Ministry’s Key Laboratory for Humic Acid Fertilizers, thereby creating an industrial‑technology matchmaking platform that features the cooperative as the platform provider, scientific research as the enabler, and farmers as the ultimate beneficiaries.
The unveiling ceremony ushers in a new chapter, with industry–university–research collaboration breaking the deadlock.
On June 13, 2025, a grand unveiling ceremony was held at the Taoyang Supply and Marketing Cooperative Square, where guests including Sun Zhicheng, Vice Chairman of the County CPPCC, and Professor Ding Fangjun of Shandong Agricultural University jointly unveiled the institute. As a co-organizer, Nongda Group has been deeply involved across the entire technology‑implementation value chain:
Professor Ding Fangjun spoke on site, explaining the “soil–crop” collaborative management strategy for controlling yellowing disease based on the technical principles of using humic acid to improve soil and activate root systems, while emphasizing a systematic approach that integrates “precision fertilization with scientific management.”
Du Shenghui, Director of the Supply and Marketing Cooperative, delivered a speech: He commended Nongda Fertilizer Industry for its pragmatic spirit of “bringing the laboratory to the fields,” and expressed his anticipation that humic acid technology will help achieve the triple objectives of disease resistance, quality improvement, and yield enhancement.
Thematic Matching Session: Dual-Driven by Root-Cause Analysis and Technology Implementation
At the special symposium on citrus Huanglongbing, government agencies, enterprises, research institutions, and farmers convened for a joint consultation: the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs provided an in-depth overview of the current state of the industry, Zhongpu Town and Shangying Township pinpointed the most pressing challenges posed by the disease, and farmer representatives shared their years-long struggles with control and prevention efforts.
  • Drawing on practical case studies from enterprises such as Lintao Hongxing Agriculture, the Agricultural University Fertilizer Technology Team conducted an on-site demonstration of the mechanisms by which humic acid fertilizers regulate soil pH and enhance crop stress resistance.
  • Major partnership! Taoyang Supply and Marketing Cooperative has signed a Technical Implementation Service Agreement with the Key Laboratory of Humic Acid Fertilizers under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Nongda Fertilizer will provide Lintao lilies with end-to-end services, spanning soil testing, customized formulation, and on-site field guidance.
Field Research: Bringing Technology Directly to Farmers’ Hands
In the afternoon, Professor Ding led his technical team to visit disease‑affected fields in Shangying Township and Zhongpu Town, collecting soil and plant samples from the previously identified typical plots of yellowing disease. Following laboratory analyses and discussions with relevant experts, they formulated specific solutions to address the yellowing issue.
As a leading enterprise in the humic acid fertilizer sector, Nongda Group has consistently upheld the principle of “writing papers on the land.” The establishment of the Lintao Lily Research Institute marks another milestone in the company’s commitment to “revitalizing agriculture through science and technology”—from laboratory theory to field application, from technological R&D to industrial empowerment. With humic acid technology as our guiding force, we are now crafting a new chapter of quality improvement and efficiency gains for specialty agriculture across the fertile lands of Northwest China.
